Abstract
Sally Kesler first came to Penland as a student in 1950. She became both an accomplished weaver and silk screen artist. In 1952 she was asked by Rufus Morgan to direct the Nonah Weavers in Franklin, North Carolina. In 2018 she continues to live next door to the Nonah Weavers' studio facility. This collection contains silk sreen work on linen that specifically refers to Penland, as well as work with folkoric, botanical and religious themes.
